Moni Pulo records 3m man-hours without LTI

*Recommits to HSSE

18 September 2012, Sweetcrude, Lagos – Moni Pulo Limited, a foremost indigenous oil Exploration and Production company has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining its very high Health, Safety and Environment standards, even as the company’s NLTI statistics continue to improve.

Julia Oku Jacks, head of Corporate Strategy & Development of the company said that as at July 2012, Moni Pulo had achieved over 3 million man-hours No Lost Time To Injury (NLTI), up from one million NLTI in January 2003.

She explained that, Moni Pulo’s membership of the British Safety Council (BSC) testifies to its total commitment to health, safety, security and environment issues. This is also the reason the company submits itself to regular HSSE audits from renowned international organizations such as Lloyds that certifies the company’s Agbani FPF barge.

“Matters of HSSE are treated with utmost importance by the executive management and staff of Moni Pulo. It is a source of pride to us that an indigenous sole operator can attain such an important safety milestone; it is also a challenge to us all, to maintain this enviable safety record,” she said.

To maintain and improve upon its acclaimed high HSSE standards, Moni Pulo remains committed to its HSSE policy and management systems through compliance with statutory regulations, capacity building, routine maintenance of its facilities, proactive management of any identified non conformance issues and good reporting practices on HSSE matters, among others.
