10 fuel laden ships to discharge at Lagos ports

13 February 2013, Sweetcrude, Lagos – Ten ships are waiting to discharge petroleum products at the various oil terminals in the Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has said.

The “Shipping Position,” a daily publication of the NPA released on Wednesday, showed that five of the ships were laden with petrol.

According to the publication, two ships will discharge kerosene, while one will discharge bulk gas.

A ship will discharge base oil, while another one will discharge ethanol.

The document indicated that another ship was waiting to berth and discharge bulk wheat.

It also reported that 84 ships, carrying different cargoes, would arrive in Lagos ports between Feb. 13 and February 29.

The NPA said that 14 of the ships would arrive with petroleum products.
