Six foreign oil workers kidnapped offshore Nigeria set free

28 February 2013, Sweetcrude, LAGOS – Six foreigners oil workers kidnapped on February 17 by armed pirates from an oil service ship offshore Nigeria have been released unhurt without a ransom being paid, the police disclosed.

“All the six foreign hostages were released Monday evening unhurt. No ransom was paid before their release,” said the police commissioner in Bayelsa state, Kingsley Omire, referring to the Indian, Russian and Ukrainian hostages.
