INSB gets Moldovan, Kenyan authorization to certify vessels

INSB certification27 April 2013, Lagos – THE governments of the Republic of Moldova, Jamaica and Kenyan have the recognized, the International Naval Surveys Bureau (INSB) as their Recognized Security Organisation and given them (INSB) authorization to class and certify vessels flagged in these countries

Speaking to newsmen in Lagos, INSB’s Chief Executive Officer for the African regional office Engr Akin Olaniyan said that these recognitions and authorization came between September last and April this year, a development that has further stamped the recognition of INSB as an international classification society of repute.

Olaniyan also said that these newly attained authorizations expand both the overall authorization context of our Society and provide INSB Class with the ability to serve ship owners, managers or operators whose fleet is registered or intended to be registered under these flags, in addition to the several other flags previously authorized.

“These international acceptances are attestation to the technical capabilities, capacities and overall abilities of the International Naval Surveys Bureau (INSB) as a new age Classification Society. This now brings to 28 major and reputable flags which has recognized and authorized INSB to function as a Recognized Organization (RO) / Recognized Security Organization (RSO)”. he added
