Fuel tanker drivers protest in Kano

kano_police08 May 2013, Kano – Fuel tanker drivers, protesting the alleged shooting of one of their colleagues by a security agent, Tuesday, blocked the busy Kano-Wudil federal highway for about four hours.

The truck driver was alleged to have been shot over failure to pay N100 bribe to the security agent.

Meanwhile, the state Police Commissioner, Musa Daura, has disclosed that a police Inspector and a Sergeant had been arrested over the incident, promising that they would be sanctioned if found guilty after an in-house trial, at the state Police headquarters in Bompai, Kano.
