Subsea 7 in Brazil pipelay gig

Subsea-704 July 2013 – Support vessel gains additional five-year charter with state oil company Petrobras

Subsea 7 has secured a further $400 million contract from Petrobras for deployment of its pipelay support vessel Normand Seven off Brazil.

The vessel, which is already working in Brazilian waters for the state-owned oil company, will support engineering and installation of flowlines, umbilicals and equipment under the five-year charter that is due to start in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the contractor has also extended its charter of DOF’s construction support vessel Skandi Neptune by one year from March 2014.
