Kenya to subsidised power connection fees for 3 months

PHCN worker25 August 2013, Nairobi – Kenya Power says it is carrying out subsidized power connection fees for the next three months.

All new connections will be done at a cost of 35,000 shillings and 49,000 shillings for single and three phase connections, subsidized by the government at a cost of 2.7 billion shillings. The government is awaiting the outcome of a study to determine the actual cost of connections.
