Africa Oilfield Logistics in East Africa push

Oil rigs21 October 2013, News Wires – A subsidiary of London-listed services provider Africa Oilfield Logistics has acquired a 20% stake in safety and training provider Energy Resources Group Africa in a drive to capitalise on booming business in East Africa.

AIM-listed Africa Oilfield Logistics made the deal through its 49%-owned subsidiary, Nairobi-headquartered Ardan Risk & Support Services.

Lagos-based Energy Resources Group Africa is a specialist provider of onshore and offshore safety, survival and emergency response training with a focus on the oil and gas industry in Africa.

Africa Oilfield Logistics said the acquisition “further strengthens the company’s competitive offering, is revenue-enhancing, provides cross-selling opportunities, particularly for the rapidly expanding medical division and increases Ardan’s exposure to oil and gas operators in East Africa”.
