20 November 2013, Luanda – Angola’s secretary of State for Energy, Joaquim Ventura, on Tuesday in the central Benguela Province said that the country is on a process of development and the energetic sector must be adjusted to this growth.
Speaking to the press, at the 17 de Setembro Airport, Joaquim Ventura said that the Ministry of Energy and Water has a development programme that must be adjusted to the province’s development process.
“There are development plans and a steering plan for the province’s development. Growth is being recorded. So, it is necessary to make sure energy is made available”, he stressed.
The secretary of State, who is arrived in Benguela last Tuesday for a two-day work visit, is to assess projects related to his sector being implemented in Benguela Province, in the ambit of the country’s development plan.
Among several activities, Joaquim Ventura, is to hold a meeting with the members of the Provincial Executive to analyse the issue of rural electrification, among other topics.
