Egypt: New discoveries added to national reserves – Petroleum Minister

Oil rigs26 November 2013, Cairo – Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum, Eng. Sheriff Ismail has announced that the Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel) has discovered a new exploration site at the El-Temsah region in the Mediterranean Sea, called the “Tuna-6” field.

The Minister stated that production for the new exploration reaches 46 million cubic feet of natural gas daily, and its reserve from natural gas is estimated at 36 million cubic feet.

This came during a tour by the minister of production wells and petroleum companies in Port Said, where he visited a plant for production of natural gas pipelines. The project has been established with Egyptian-Kuwaiti investments reaching nearly EGP 200 million.
