Chariot kicks off Namibia 2D shoot

Seismic_streamers20 December 2013, News Wires – Dolphin Geophysical’s Artemis Atlantic has begun acquiring 2128 kilometres of 2D seismic data for Chariot Oil & Gaas over Southern Block 2714B off Namibia.

The shoot in water depths of 150 metres to 1850 metres is expected to take 21 days.

The AIM-listed explorer aims to gain further knowledge of the shallower petroleum system on the block with the new data in combination with 1500 kilometres of legacy data that it is reprocessing.

The independent said that the two datasets combined “will be able to determine specific regions of interest for designing a focused 3D programme in the future”.

Chariot Oil & Gas operates the block on an 85% stake with Namcor on 10% and Quiver Oil holding a 5% carry.
