Fuel scarcity in Delta17 February 2014, Ilorin — A minor fuel scarcity has hit Ilorin, Kwara State following what the independent marketers called inadequate supply of products from Ilorin NNPC depot.

Daily Trust’s findings showed that most independent filing stations ran short of fuel, prompting them to close down for most parts of last week. Our correspondent observed that the development has brought about long queues at NNPC stations and some major marketers like Mobil and Total.

State Chairman of Independent Petroleum Marketers’ Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Mr. Bashir Olopade attributed the scarcity to inadequate supply of product from Ilorin NNPC depot, disclosing that all the over 300 independent marketers in the state were being supplied two trucks on daily basis.
