Petrofac inks $1bn Oman deal

Bowleven and Petrofac24 March 2014, News Wires – Petrofac has won an engineering and procurement contract worth more than $1 billion from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) for work on cluster of fields in the south of the country.

The contract to provide services for the Rabab Harweel Integrated Project (RHIP) on the Harweel cluster also includes commissioning and construction management support.

The RHIP facility will include sour gas processing facilities and associated gathering and injection systems and export pipelines.

Peak production from the facility is set to be 4.9 million cubic metres per day of sweet gas, 9.7 MMcmd of condensate and 16 MMcmd of high pressure sour gas injection.

Petrofac will provide full support during the construction and start-up phases of the facility as part of the four-and-a-half year contract.
