Police arrest suspected kidnappers of Petroleum Minister’s sister

11 November 2014 Mkpoikana Udoma, Sweetcrude, Port Harcourt – The Rivers State Police Command says it has arrested a suspected kidnapper, Benjamin Bob-Manuel around the Nembe waterfront in Port Harcourt Township.

A statement from the Rivers State Police Public Relation Officer, DSP. Ahmed Mohammed said the alleged kidnapper is the leader of the gang that abducted Osiya Agama, the younger sister to Nigeria’s Petroleum Minister, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, sometime in October.

The statement said Mr. Benjamin Bob-Manuel accomplice, Godknows Ekile was arrested, Monday, in Port Harcourt with a locally made pistol and the operation vehicle.

The police statement further said the kidnappers have confessed to the abduction of Madam Osiya Agama.

It will be recall that madam Osiya Agama was abducted by gunmen around 8pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Leventis Busstop in Aba-Road in Port Harcourt, and rescued on the late hours of Wednesday, 29th of October, 2014 at Asari-Toru Local Government of Rivers State, in a combined efforts by men of the JTF and the Rivers State Police.
