Angola: Reserve Bank sells foreign currency amounting to $160m

10 February 2015, Luanda — The National Reserve Bank, BNA, carried out from 2 to 6 February this year sales of foreign currency amounting to 160 million US dollars.

On a note published in its website, the BNA informs that until last weekend the average exchange rate of reference for interbank operations was 105 kwanzas (AKz) for one US dollar.

For the current management of the National Treasury, the BNA placed in the market Treasury Bonds amounted at AKz 28.5 billion.

According to the same source, in the same period there was no Open Market Operations for liquidity absorption.
