Anti-riot policemen storm Eko DISCO office, tear-gas workers

Police1Kunle Kalejaye 23 April 2015, Sweetcrude, Lagos – Armed with AK47 rifles, anti-riot policemen numbering seven on Tuesday morning stormed Eko Electricity Distribution Company unit in Agbara, Ogun State, ‎and tear-gassed the workers over alleged disconnection of their residence from power supply.

Sources at the Agbara Business Unit said the police men who drove in their armoured tank ‎blocked the entrance to the office and ordering the staff on duty to produced their Commercial Manager and Distribution Manager.
The officers as gathered, threatened to rough-handle the customer care ladies of the Business unit before tear-gassing the office.
Police 2It was gathered that ‎the security men were hired by Agbara Estate Ltd to guard and protect the estate and banks within the area.
It was also gathered that the armed policemen came to protest the disconnection of their residence, which was owing N120, 000 to Eko Disco, from power supply.
