15 May 2015, Sweetcrude, Houston — Dresser-Rand, a global supplier of rotating equipment solutions to the oil, gas, petrochemical, power, and process industries, will highlight a variety of products for oil and gas clients that emphasize productivity and reliability at the 2015 World Gas Conference.

Industry engineers and executives who visit booth #N42 will have the opportunity to learn more about Dresser-Rand services and technologies, including DATUM® centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, the LNGo™ natural gas production system, gas turbines, and steam turbines for FPSO vessels.

Centrifugal Compressors Suited for Offshore, Topside and Subsea Applications

Designed for maximum performance in all pressure and flow applications in the offshore, midstream, downstream and subsea oil and gas industries, the Dresser-Rand DATUM® line of centrifugal compressors offer efficiency, reliability and ease of maintenance for gas gathering, liquid recovery, gas lift, gas injection, pipeline boosters, gas storage, recompression, and reinjection. It can also be used for wet gas, hydrogen, coker, and other hydrocarbon and utility gases for refining.

During the show, the DATUM I, DATUM C, and DATUM ICS models will be on display which offer additional benefits based on the model, including no volatile organic compounds, separation technology, and compact design.

High-Speed and Process Reciprocating Compressors for Demanding Applications

Dresser-Rand will highlight its full range of high-speed reciprocating compressors during the show. Designed to ISO 13631, ISO 13707, or API618 specifications for some of the most demanding jobs, including high pressure, CO2, sour and acid gases, and floating applications, Dresser-Rand high-speed reciprocating compressors come in seven different models with horsepower (hp) ranges from 200 to 11,000 hp (149 to 8,203 kW), allowable rod loads from 15,400 to 90,000 psi, rated maximum speeds from 850 to 1,800 rpm, and pressures up to 8,000 psig.

Also on display will be Dresser-Rand process reciprocating compressors that boast an outstanding record for performance, efficiency, reliability, and low maintenance in the most demanding upstream, midstream and downstream process applications. Available with up to 10 crank throws, as single-throw or balanced-opposed configurations, Dresser-Rand custom engineers each unit for efficiency by designing each cylinder and valve, and select other components to meet each client’s specific operating requirements.

Gas Turbines Highlight Reduced Life Cycle Costs

Dresser-Rand will showcase its VECTRA® power turbine and KG 2 gas turbine for mechanical drive and power generation in the offshore and oil and gas industry. Known for its reduced life cycle costs, Dresser-Rand gas turbine generator sets are meant to match clients’ electrical system characteristics and any special requirements such as motor-starting capability and voltage dip limitations. Designed to comply with site environmental conditions and any specific limitations on noise level, exhaust emissions, as well as space and weight, the Dresser-Rand gas turbine, gearbox, and generator are normally aligned on a fabricated steel base, together with auxiliary equipment, to provide an integrated unit.

Portable, Stand-Alone LNG Plants Maximize Production Gains

Dresser-Rand’s LNGo™ system is the latest innovation for the LNG market. Using a combination of Dresser-Rand technologies, including its MOS™ reciprocating compressor, its Guascor® gas engine, and Enginuity® control system in a portable, small-footprint package that can be placed on well pads, gas flares and similar sites, the LNGo system allows for very small stand-alone plants that are portable and can be moved to support changing requirements and needs. Sized to produce approximately 6,000 – 8,000 gallons of LNG per day, the LNGo system can be used in upstream, midstream and downstream applications.

Single- and Multi-stage Steam Turbines Offer Low Maintenance and High Reliability

Dresser-Rand’s steam turbine product line offers generator drive solutions from 500-kWe single-stage to 100-MW multi-stage and meets the strict standards of API 611 and 612. Used for a variety of offshore floating applications, including merchant ships, FPSO, FSRU, and FLNG vessels, Dresser-Rand custom-designed steam turbine generators include a wide range of capabilities and configurations to meet a client’s unique, job-specific need.

Customized steam turbine units are available with either direct-drive or geared and accommodate inlet steam conditions up to 2,000 psig and 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit, with exhaust conditions from 800 pounds to condensing. Configurations can include condensing or non-condensing, single- or multi-valve, single- or double-automatic extraction, or induction mixed-pressure designs.
