N4.5b fuel subsidy fraud: Ahmadu Ali’s son, others re-arraigned

13 May 2015, Lagos – Mamman, son of former Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ahmadu Ali, and two others were re-arraigned before a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja, for alleged complicity in N4.5 billion fuel subsidy fraud, Tuesday.

Ali was re-arraigned alongside another oil marketer, Christian Taylor and his company, Nasa-man Oil Services Ltd, by the Economic and Finan-cial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The defendants were previously arraigned on July 26,2012 and their trial had commenced before their co-defendant, Oluwaseun Ogunbambo, absconded.

This necessitated amend-ment of the charge against the defendants which led to the re-arraignment.
The matter was adjourned till June 30.
