Kaduna Electric organises induction for new staff

24 August 2015, Kaduna – After a successful recruitment exercise that lasted for about three months, Kaduna Electric begin an induction programme for the successful candidates for various job openings in the company.

The induction, which will last two days, will be followed by an intensive training programme to fully immerse the new employees into the culture and systems of Kaduna Electric.

A statement issued in Kaduna by the Head, Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, said the induction exercise would take place on the same days in Kaduna and Sokoto states.

New employees from Kaduna and other non-franchise states are to be inducted in Kaduna while all successful intakes in the franchise states of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States would be inducted in Sokoto.

The statement further said during the induction, some members of the Board of Directors led by the Chairman, Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar and the Managing Director, Mr. Garba Haruna, will be at hand to welcome the new staff and address them on what is expected of them in order to move the company to greater heights.
A representative of the Bureau of Public Enterprises is expected to also address the new hires.

The inductees would also be given an overview of the workings of the various departments in the company by the departmental heads.

The statement added that the training programme would be conducted by selected industry professionals that would sharpen the skill sets of the new staff in order for them to deliver on their key performance indicators.

Over 50,000 candidates – both internal and external – applied for the various vacancies on the company’s recruitment portal back in April this year after the company announced plans for the creation of about 15,000 direct and indirect jobs.
