Pipeline vandals kill three policemen in Lagos

01 September 2015, Lagos – A shootout involving pipeline vandals and policemen at Olanukan Village, in Ishawo, Agric area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, has left three policemen dead.

According to witnesses, a fully-loaded tanker with product allegedly siphoned from an NNPC pipeline around Oke-Oko, was flagged down by the policemen at the Ishawo Agric check point, in the early morning of Tuesday.

The suspected thieves immediately opened fire on the policemen; then drove off the scene with one of their colleagues who sustained gunshot wounds.
