Chevron, others build 25 chest clinics

19 September 2015, Lagos – Chevron Oil Company has said it built 25 fully equipped chest clinics for the control of tuberculosis in states where the disease was found to be endemic in the country including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

The Director, Chevron Star Deepwater Petroleum firm, Mr. Jeffry Ewing said the projects were carried out with partners or co-venturers in the Agbami oil field comprises Star Deepwater Petroleum Limited, Famfa Oil Nigeria Limited, Petro Brassiliero Nigeria Limited, Stat Oil Nigeria Limited and NAPIMS/NNPC.

Ewing who was represented by Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs, (PGPA), Lagos, Mr. Sam Otuonye, spoke at the commissioning of the 25th Chest Clinic complex at Emmanuel General Hospital, Eket, Akwa Ibom State on Thursday. He said the completion of the chest clinics across the country was a demonstration of the long-term commitment the partners have in upgrading standard of the facilities in Nigerian hospitals.
