EMGS in India survey pact

Northern_Explorer-2D survey:seismic24 September 2015, News Wires – Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has inked a deal with India’s authorities for a multi-client survey off the country’s west coast.

The Oslo-listed survey player has been granted a two-year permit to acquire 3D data across a 325,000 square-kilometre area spanning eight different tectonic provinces from Kutch-Saurashtra in the north to Ratnagiri in the south under the newly minted pact with the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH).

No value was disclosed for the agreement, which also gives the DGH access to data acquired in the area.
