07 October 2015, Johannesburg — As the power system stabilises, Eskom said there had been no load shedding over the last 60 days.
Since it was stage 1 load shedding, Eskom reported, this meant that 96 percent of South Africans still received uninterrupted electricity supply during the period.
The power firm reported as such, the probability of load shedding remained low on Wednesday.
Customers have been urged to continue saving power.
“Let’s work together towards achieving more load shedding free days. Customers can do their bit by practicing energy efficiency throughout the day – at the office and at home – and to encourage friends and family to do the same,” the firm said.
Eskom said it would continue to provide regular updates on the state of the power system through various media platforms.
