Egbin Power reiterates commitment to transformation, expansion

Kunle Kalejaye 15 October 2015, Sweetcrude, Lagos – To speed up Nigeria’s drive towards sustainable power supply, operators of Egbin Power Station has reiterated its commitment to carrying out planned transformation and expansion programme on the plant.

Egbin power plantChairman, Egbin Power Plc, Mr. Kola Adesina, said the company was on the verge of returning the power station to its installed capacity of 1,320mw and subsequently, commence plans to double the plant’s generation capacity.

Adesina, who was speaking on the plant’s post-privatisation report, noted that “significant progress” had been recorded in the power company.

“Our greatest achievement, apart from the upgrade we have done on the six units of the plant, is the new attitude to work by every member of staff as they have all bought into the dream of delivering sustainable and reliable power to Nigerians by going the extra mile,” he said.
