NSCDC improving expertise to fight pipeline vandals, terrorists – ACG

28 October 2015, Ado Ekiti – The Nigerian Security and  Civil Defence Corps has restated that the paramilitary organisation has the requisite experience and training to tame pipeline  vandals  and in combating terrorism   in the country.


Speaking with journalists in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday after interacting with men and officers of the State Command, the Assistant Commandant General in Charge of Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun States, Mr Jacob Oladapo, said  the NSCDC had issued a stop and search directive to his men to be able to apprehend terrorists.

Oladapo said his men had received international training in Russia, America and Ireland on how best to increase intelligence gathering and contribute  effectively in counter-terrorism ,  to be able to deal with terrorists and vandals in Nigerian society.

“As I talk to you, our men under my jurisdiction have commenced stop and search on vehicles and human beings.

“ If you wear unusual cloth, unusual glasses , shoes or move in an unusual or suspicious manner, we have our intelligence  officers that would stop you and probably get you  arrested” .
