29 October 2015, Sweetcrude, Lagos – Norway headquartered AGR has secured an Agreement to deliver Field Development support in Sudan for Nigerian explorer, Misana Energy Resources (Misana).

Misana is part of a consortium that was recently awarded a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) for blocks 25 D & E in the White Nile Province in Southern Sudan.

AGR’s technical support will cover all disciplines from asset evaluation to full field development and exploration services.

The Scope will be carried out by AGR’s Facilities Solutions division with support from AGR’s drilling engineering and subsurface consultancies. Facilities Solutions focuses on delivering field development engineering services both onshore and offshore. The division recently delivered engineering services on the Brynhild field development project managed by Lundin Norway.

Inge Holm, Vice President of AGR Facilities Solutions (pictured), said: “This is an exciting and very important prospect for us. The blocks are estimated to contain a significant amount of reserves and will provide a good return to consortium shareholders. We are looking forward to working closely with Misana Energy Resources to see this project come into fruition.”
With the Agreement AGR secures its position as a long term technical partner for Misana’s further field development projects in the region.

Last year, Facilities Solutions, which has a significant experience in Africa, announced another Frame Agreement with the scope of delivering technical support for field development in Nigeria.
Africa remains an important focus area for AGR with its subsurface, drilling and training teams developing services and products that are tailor-made to meet the individual requirements of the local client portfolio. AGR’s capabilities and product portfolio is showcased at the Africa Oil Week this week.
