DPR to seal up fuel stations selling above pump price in Rivers

Fuel-scarcityMkpoikana Udoma 27 November 2015, Sweetcrude, Port Harcourt – The Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR,  Port Harcourt Zone, has threatened to seal off any fuel station found selling above the official pump price of N87 per litre.
The warning which was contained in statement issued in Port Harcourt by the DPR’s Head of Public Affairs in the Zone, Ms. Carol Bello, said erring depot owners  will be banned from lifting fuel if found guilty.
The DPR’s Head of Public Affairs, in the statement, regretted that several complaints had been received from the public regarding the activities of some operators despite efforts made by the department.
The statement further said officials of DPR would not relent in ensuring that petroleum products marketers and depot operators complied with the Federal Government-approved price.
