LADOL appoints advisory board members

26 December 2015, Lagos – In a bid to ensure that it tap the knowledge, wisdom and experience of seasoned personalities in its operations, the management of Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics Base (LADOL) has unveiled a three-member Advisory Board.

Those unveiled include the former Chief Economic Adviser to  former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua,  AlhajiTanimu Yakubu, prominent lawyer,  Professor Fidelis Oditah,  and the former Deputy Secretary-General and Chief of Staff, United Nations (UN); Right Hon  Lord Mark Mallock-Brown.

Malloch-Brown, who is also the Chairman of SGO, served as Deputy Secretary-General and Chief of Staff of UN during the tenure of Mr. Kofi Annan as its Secretary General.
A Queen’s Counsel since 2003, Oditah practices at the English and Nigerian Bars in a broad range of areas.
Prior to his appointment by late President Yar’adua, Yakubu was the former Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Federal Mortgage Bank from 2003 to 2007.
Speaking at the formal unveiling and inauguration of the Advisory Board in Lagos, the Managing Director of LADOL, Dr. Amy Jadesimi said the company is adequately positioned to take advantage of business opportunities in 2016 and beyond.
She stated that LADOL has all it takes to contribute its quota to the development of the nation’s economy on a sustainable basis. The advent of local content law in Nigeria has reversed the long lost hope of indigenous participation in the country’s energy sector, noting that the development is capable of generating numerous jobs for Nigerians.
“Now that some of us have started investing, we need to work together. We need to strategise and make sure we’re focusing our investment on areas that are going to reap the biggest reward, both in terms of profitability and job creation for Nigerians”, she said.
