Petrol prices highest in Nasarawa, Cross River in March

14 April 2016, Lagos – Consumers of petrol in Nasarawa, Cross River and Sokoto States were hit the hardest by the current fuel crisis during the month of March, as they paid as high as N166.67, N160.36 and N160 per litre respectively for the commodity.

The latest PMS price watch by the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, showed that average price of the commodity in all the 36 states of the federation and Abuja was about N135.69 per litre during the month.

The least prices during the month were in two states, Borno and Lagos, where the NBS said the commodity sold for N87 and N90.08 per litre respectively.

While consumers in Borno states saw a reduction in their retail price from N87.88, their counterparts in Lagos had a marginal increase from N87.03 per litre.
