Angola: Over 28,000 litres of smuggled fuel seized

21 April 2016, Mbanza Congo — At least 28,685 liters of fuel were seized in the last seven days by the staff of the Fiscal Police deployed at border posts of Mbanza Kongo and Soyo, northern Zaire province, for alleged smuggling of oil derivatives.

Zaire provincial police command states in a press release sent to Angop on Tuesday that the product seized in river and land crossings of Kimbumba (Soyo) and Luvo in Mbanza Congo, were heading to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

 During the assessed period, the statement added, it was recorded four cases of fuel smuggling, two more if compared to the previous period, having been arrested two smugglers.
