Akah said it was on record that from January to September, EEDC recorded over 2,466 unresolved electricity complaints from customers who were dissatisfied with services rendered.
He said that the commission was planning to have a meeting with the 36 state governors on the investment opportunities in the sector.
It added that electricity generation in the country has been stable in the last two months, rising from about 2, 983 megawatts to over 4, 000 megawatts.
Akah said that NERC would ensure refunds were made to customers wrongly billed as well as install the new prepaid meter.
He noted that the Commission had initiated a programme designed to ensure energy efficiency and conservation, adding that that efficient utilisation of available energy was paramount.
Off-grid electricity operators, particularly those involved in the installation of solar gadgets through which electricity is generated, stated that it was important to have policies in place that would guide the practice in Nigeria.
