The portal was designed for mining investors to perform business processes such as online mining licences and mineral titles applications, online payment of royalties and fees, database for revenue drive and to block revenue leakages.
He stated that, “The mining and steel sector, which is a viable alternative to oil, has remained untapped over the years until Dr. Fayemi took charge of the sector and turned it around, thereby making the dream of making the sector an alternative to oil, a reality.”
“Our past concentration on the oil sector has led the Nigerian economy to become a mono-product economy and hence did not allow the past governments to attend to global challenges that evolved in the areas of solid minerals development,” Ashiru stated.
“Ajaokuta was designed and built with the assistance of Ukrainian engineers in Soviet era. Our company is participating in the renewal of the plant because Nigeria needs industrialization and Ajaokuta after rehabilitation will play very important roles in the industrialization of Nigeria,” he added.

“Already, the mining sector has begun to record very impressive results. We achieved a 300% increase in revenue (royalties and fees) between 2015 and 2016, and as at July of this year, the sector had already surpassed the entire revenue of N2Billion generated for the whole of 2016,” Fayemi said.
“There was growth in the basic metal, iron and steel industry during this period. The construction industry, which has been in negative growth, started picking up as a result of the implementation of the budget,” Fashola said.
“Too many Nigerians are suffering, unable to access effective medical treatment for the resulting ailments, losing loved ones and suffering deformities of varying degrees,” she said
