Fayemi explained that the purpose of the project is to build a world class minerals’ and mining ecosystem designed to serve a targeted domestic as well as export market for mineral ores.

The minister also said that they intended to establish Nigerian Solid Minerals Investment Fund (NSMIF) structured as a private sector-oriented investment outfit to provide financing to private sector-led projects in mining sector.
