“Consequently upon the foregoing therefore, your company is hereby ordered to immediately stop all mining activities at the identified spot and any other part of the area of the 2541ML, evacuate all your mining machineries/equipment and vacate the mine site. This order is issued in accordance with the provisions of section 146(4) of the Act.”
The portal was designed for mining investors to perform business processes such as online mining licences and mineral titles applications, online payment of royalties and fees, database for revenue drive and to block revenue leakages.
“The combination of all of the efforts above has seen an almost 300% leap in revenues accruing from the sector jumping from N700million to about N2billion per month within a year alone,” the minister said.
The Minister explained that building a competitive mining value chain means firms operating in Nigeria must compete on quality and cost versus global peers.
“You can sit down in the comfort of your office and submit an application online, from any part of the world and within 30 or 40 days you will be notified whether you are granted or not, and we are in discussions with our consultants, and is in our 2016 budget.”
