The Bureau stated that the rate recorded made it the twelfth consecutive disinflation (slowdown in the inflation rate though still positive) in headline year-on-year inflation since January 2017.
“The average price paid by consumers for PMS decreased by 1.2 per cent year-on-year and increased by 0.1 per cent month-on-month to N144.5 in September 2017 from N144.4 in August 2017.”
“Already, the mining sector has begun to record very impressive results. We achieved a 300% increase in revenue (royalties and fees) between 2015 and 2016, and as at July of this year, the sector had already surpassed the entire revenue of N2Billion generated for the whole of 2016,” Fayemi said.
The report noted that Nigeria recorded crude oil exports of N2.38 trillion in the first quarter of 2017, dropping by two per cent compared to the value recorded in the fourth quarter of 2016.
