Meanwhile, the people of Ulakwo community in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers will see a return of power supply to the area after suffering total power outage for more than a year.
This comes as a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, in Etche, Mr. Emma Anyanwu, on Friday donated two 500KVA power transformers to the community.
Anyanwu said he was moved by the sufferings of the people and the total darkness experienced in Ulakwo community for more than one year, hence the donation of the transformer.
According to him, “It was a shock to me when I hear my community have not had power supply for the past one year, because I was not aware.
“It was on Saturday that I was told about it, on Tuesday the transformer was delivered. So what I’m doing today is to hand it over to the community. Our appreciation should go to the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike,” Anyanwu said.
