    11 DisCos rake N150.86bn in June 2024

    Port Harcourt — Eleven electricity distribution companies in the country raked the sum of N150.86billion in June 2024, representing 85.44% collection efficiency from their total billing capacity of N176.57billion for the month under review.

    According to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC the figure represents a 12.80% increment from May 2024.

    NERC data also showed that these 11 DisCos received 2,190.12Gwh and billed 1,850.73Gwh in June 2024, representing 84.50% billing efficiency.

    Ikeja DisCo made the highest bill collection of N30.06billion, followed by Eko DisCo N26.37billion and Abuja N24.29billion.

    On the other hand, Yola DisCo made the lowest bill collection of N1.87billion, followed by Jos N4.96billion and Kaduna N5.01billion.

    Ikeja DisCo received the highest energy 347Gwh, Abuja 329Gwh and Eko DisCo 287Gwh, while Yola got the least power amounting to 48.08Gwh, Jos 111.77Gwh and Kano disco 134.42Gwh

    The average tariff of power supply stood at N89.72 per Kwh in June 2024.
