NPA said in its daily publication, “Shipping Position” made available to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Lagos that the number included ships laden with petroleum products.
It reported that 15 of the vessels were laden with fuel and that of this figure, 10 ships were carrying petrol, all waiting to berth and discharge their cargo.
Another three are laden with base oil and rice, the publication said.
Others are carrying such items as fresh fish, bulk wheat, bulk malt, bulk sugar, new and used vehicles, containers and general cargo.
They are expected at Kirikiri Lighter Terminal, Josepdam Terminal, Ports and Cargo Handling Services Ltd., and the Tin-can Island Container Terminal
Other terminals where the ships are being expected include Greenview Development Nigeria Ltd., APM Terminals, Apapa and Ports and Terminal Multiservices Ltd.
