07 February 2015, Algiers — Minister of Energy Youcef Yousfi and Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Lilianne Ploumen expressed, Thursday in Algiers, the willingness to boost their cooperation in the fields of oil, gas and renewable energy industries.
During a meeting held at the Energy Ministry’s headquarters, Yousfi and the Dutch minister discussed cooperation between the two countries in the hydrocarbon field, said a Ministry’s communiqué.
The two sides expressed willingness to boost their cooperation, which they dubbed “good,” especially in the oil, gas and renewable energy industries
In this regard, Yousfi underlined the priority given by Algeria to the manufacturing of equipment and materials used in these industries.
To that end, he invited Dutch companies to explore cooperation opportunities in the field within the framework of a mutually beneficial partnership.
For her part, Ploumen expressed the readiness of Dutch companies to share their expertise and experience in the field with the Algerian firms.
The two sides also exchanged views and analyzes on the situation in the world oil and gas markets, as well as on dialogue between producers and consumers.
Poulmen, who is on a working visit to Algeria at the head of delegation of Dutch businessmen, participated Thursday in the Algerian-Dutch Business Forum to examine the opportunities offered by the two countries to establish possible partnerships.
