23 November 2014, Luanda — The commercial banks in their brokering and financing role have regulation imposed limitations associated with the application of resources pertaining to their customers.
This was said Thursday in Luanda by the Angola Reserve Bank (BNA), Governor José de Lima Massano, who added as the economy and the businesses needs grow, bank credits have prove insufficient to meet the demand, which calls for the participation of alternative sources of funds.
In addition to the traditional access to bank credit, he said, there is need for alternative sources of financing, for a boost to the economic activity.
He mentioned as some of these alternative sources, the risk capital funds and credit cooperatives which so far are not playing a relevant role in supporting the business activity.
