Lagos — Aradel Holdings Plc, Nigeria’s leading integrated indigenous energy company, has commissioned a breast cancer screening room extension at Care Organisation Public Enlightenment ,COPE, a non-profit organisation based in Ikeja, Lagos.

The screening room extension and others were donated by Aradel Holdings to COPE in recognition of its sterling work in making free cancer screening available to women in the hope that early detection will facilitate more effective treatment. COPE is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation, established and registered in 1995 as a comprehensive breast cancer resource provider for women.

In attendance from COPE was Ebunola Anozie, Founder and CEO who on behalf of the Board of COPE, appreciated Aradel Holdings Plc for their support and partnership.

“The new facility will enable more women to be screened at a faster pace which will achieve the goals of COPE to save lives,” she said.

Other representatives of COPE in attendance were Temilola Adepetun, Vice – Chairwoman; Mike Osime, Trustee; Hector Etomi, Patron and Sola Oyetayo, Auditor. After the building was commissioned, the facility was toured and a plaque acknowledging Aradel’s partnership was unveiled in the COPE hall of fame.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Aradel, Adegbite Falade, in his speech, said: “A timely cancer diagnosis is key as cancer detected at an early stage, is more likely to be treated successfully and women can go on to live full and meaningful lives.

“These screening rooms will provide a convenient, safe and dedicated space for breast cancer screening, where women can be quickly diagnosed. I commend the work of Mrs Anozie, COPE Founder and CEO and the entire Board of COPE for their excellent work and determination to help women with breast cancer in Nigeria.”

Other representatives of Aradel were Temitayo Ogunbanjo, General Manager Refineries; Damilola Yahaya, Corporate Business Planning/ Value Lead; Bukola Beecroft, Business Improvement Lead and Olubukola Amodu, Financial Accountant.
