Port Harcourt — Chevron Nigeria Limited has reaffirmed its role as Nigeria’s leading supplier of domestic gas, a position it has held consistently since 2015.

According to Olusoga Oduselu, General Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs, Chevron has supplied more high-quality domestic gas than any other producer in the country, strengthening energy security and industrial growth.

“Besides oil exploration and production, Chevron Nigeria Limited is the highest contributor of high-quality domestic gas in Nigeria since 2015,” Oduselu said.

He noted that Chevron’s gas supply supports Nigeria’s power sector, industries, and households, underscoring the company’s strategic role in diversifying the country’s energy mix.

Chevron added that its gas business forms a core part of its climate and sustainability agenda, aligning with global calls for cleaner energy.

Oduselu stressed that the company remains committed to leveraging natural gas as a transition fuel that balances Nigeria’s developmental needs with environmental goals.

“Affordable, reliable and ever-cleaner energy is essential to achieving a more prosperous and sustainable world,” Oduselu said.
