13 August 2018, Sweetcrude, Warri, Delta State — The Delta state oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, has commissioned a landing jetty project at Ajigba, Warri south local government area, constructed at a cost of N130 million
Managing Director of the commission, Dr. William Makinde said the commission would continue to develop oil-bearing communities, adding that a street light would be mounted on the walkway of the landing jetty in Ajigba village.
On her part, Chief Rita Lori-Ogbebor who expressed gratitude to DESOPADEC for the project also enjoined the commission to do more for oil-bearing communities.
“DESOPADEC remain a people based interventionist agency and not otherwise as the experience has shown over the years. The commitment to develop the oil and gas bearing communities should be total”, she said.
She also commended the commission for timely completion of the project within a period of three months.
