02 November 2015, Minna – Seven petrol stations in Minna, Niger state, belonging to Independent marketers have been sealed by officials of the Department of Petroleum Resources.
DPR, which caught some of the stations unawares, met them selling at N97 as against the N87 approved pump price for premium motor spirit.
Some of the stations were also not dispensing the products to motorists since Sunday evening causing acute scarcity of the product in the Niger state capital.
Niger state Controller of the DPR, Mr. Abdullahi Jankara told newsmen after the operation that the organiSation would no longer allow the petrol stations to operate the way they like.
