20 December 2014, Cairo – The Egyptian cabinet agreed during a meeting on Thursday to amend two oil and natural gas agreements between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and the UK’s BP Exploration (Delta) Limited and German RWE Dea AG Western Nile Delta.
The agreement with BP covers oil excavations in north Alexandria and east the Mediterranean Sea deep waters, and with RWE Dea at the Western Nile Delta region.
The second natural gas agreement is between the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and RWE Dea for the Disouq region of the Nile Delta.
The Cabinet also approved draft presidential decrees on new ten oil agreements with the EGPC and six with the EGAS.
