06 March 2014, Cairo – Egypt has signed two oil and natural gas agreements with Jordan and iraq.
Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Sherif Ismael signed the agrement, Thursday, with Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Mohamed Hamed and Iraqi Minister of Oil Abdul Karim Luaibi.
According to Egypt State Information Service, the three ministers discussed implementation mechanisms for joint cooperation in energy, natural gas and crude oil fields.
The ministers talked about the progress done in implementing a crude oil pipeline project stretching from Iraq to Aqaba which is expected to be finished by 2018 with an export capacity of one million barrels per day.
They also discussed how Egypt and Jordan would benefit from it.
