02 January 2014, Luanda – The energetic companies linked to the Ministry of Energy and Waters (MINEA) will gain as from 2014 a new institutional model more adjusted to the objectives outlined by the Angolan government.
This was said exclusively to Angop on Wednesday by the minister of Energy and Water, João Baptista Borges.
According to him, the new model aims at equipping the energetic companies with organizational structures capable to provide a better public service and ensure a more competent management of the assets of the sector.
He said that the transition process will cover the sector of production, transport and distribution of energy, for which new companies will be established to develop actions aimed at improving their commercial efficiency, mainly at the level of commercial collections.
The minister underlined that this efficiency will contribute to the collection of more revenues, reduce the commercial costs and losses, so as to make the companies more sustainable and improve their services provided to the clients.
“The restructuring process of the electrical sector will be accompanied by other actions such as the reduction of costs of companies, betterment of commercial efficiency and updating of tariffs, among other programmes”, said the minister.
