Eni welcomed Monday a survey that named it as the “most favoured company” among young Italian graduates for the fourth year running. The multinational oil firm beat confectionary firm Ferrero into second place, while Italian State Railways, investment bank BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas and Google were placed third, fourth and fifth respectively.
Eni was the Best Employer of Choice 2014 for Italian graduates according to specialist employer branding consultant Cesop Communication’s Recent Graduate Survey. To complete the survey, Cesop conducted more than 2,500 face-to-face questionnaires with Italian graduates who were grouped by gender, location and degree type.
Every year, the survey analyzes views and expectations of young graduates in relation to the job market, their preferences and goals with respect to companies. The responses gathered provide statistical data showing the evolution of young graduates’ opinions towards companies and their brands.
One of the aims of the survey is to evaluate the attractiveness of particular companies as a place to work, with Cesop examining responses about 153 different companies.
Eni was rated by 5.34 percent of graduates who responded to the Cesop survey as the Best Employer of Choice 2014, which was an increase on its score last year of 4.53 percent. Eni put this improvement down to innovations the company has introduced via an online initiative called Work with Us as well as employer branding efforts.
Eni said it rated particularly highly among engineering graduates and graduates of other science-based disciplines.
