    FG re-constitutes Governing Boards of transportation Ministry Parastatal

    Lagos — President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the re-constitution of members of the Governing Boards of six parastatals under the Ministry of Transportation.

    According to a statement that was issued on Wednesday and signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations in the Ministry; Mr. FG re-constitutes Governing Boards Eric Ojiekwe, the agencies that are affected are: Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron (MAN, ORON), National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

    The new appointment saw the re-emergence of Mr Akinwumi Rickets as the board chairman of the NPA. Others are the Managing Director; Mohammed Bello Koko Sen. Ayogu Eze, Ghazali Moh’d, Abdullazeez Nyako, Abdulwahab Adeshina, Mustapha Aminu Dutse. The statement also indicated that a new Executive Director has been appointed for the NPA. This is because Ms. Adenrele Susana Adeshina was announced as Executive Director, Finance and member of the new board.

    The new board for the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has Lawal Sama’ila Abdullahi as chairman. Others are: the Executive Secretary; Mr Emmanuel Lyambee Jime, Rufai Ahmed Akambi, Usen Ekong Udoh , Otunba Oluseyi Oduntan Violet Oliatan Williams, Mohammed Allamin Kam-Salem.

    The Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) has Ejike Njeze as Chairman. Others are: Alh. Amuda Seriki, Mr. Muhiydeen Sani Awwal, Mr. Paul Eluhaiwe, Gbenga Elegbele, Sen. Tutare Abubakar, Dr. Bayaro S. Farah; the Director-General.

    The Maritime Academy of Nigeria, (MAN, Oron) has Rear Adm. Jacob Adekunle Ajani as – Chairman. Others are: Alh. Abdullah Nurudeen, Larry Odeh and Commodore D. E. Effedua; Rector.

    Similarly, the new board members for the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) are Hon. Binta Masi Garba as Chairman, Mr. Chibuike Ikenga M as member and Dr George N. Moghalu; the Managing Director.

    According to the statement, the inauguration of the boards by the Minister of Transportation; Mr. Rotimi Amaechi will be conveyed in due course.
