04 January 2016, Lagos — Fuel marketers in Lagos yesterday adjusted their pumps in compliance with federal government’s 50 kobo price cut on fuel billed to commence on January 1, 2016. Daily Trust monitored filling stations in Ikorodu Road, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos Island and other parts of the state observed that most of the marketers conspicuously displaced new price tags of N86:50 on their signage.
The NNPC Mega Station in Oregun also dispensed the product at N86.50 per litre to customers when our correspondent visited. An attendant in one of the stations in Ikorodu Road said the station has no choice than to dispense the product at the new price in compliance with government’s directive.
Daily Trust also observed that there were no queues in most of the filling stations in Lagos .
